Martin Staszak

Martin Staszak brings three decades of leadership expertise in software engineering, system architecture and project management with pioneering high-tech companies in telecommunications, digital electronics and semiconductor industries. Staszak is Founder and CEO of Cogent Tech Enterprises, LLC, a provider of technology solutions for vertical markets including life sciences, home entertainment and energy management. He is on the Board of Advisors for Perminova, a SaaS healthcare platform company specializing in cardiac EP.
Staszak was formerly Senior Director of Software Engineering at Entropic Communications, a position he held from early stagestart-up through IPO. Prior to that, Staszak was Architect/Project Manager at Intel, where he led international development teams developing Centrino wireless products. He spent many years at 3Com as Director of Wireless LAN Software, Director of Technology and Research, and Director of Software and Systems Management.
Staszak represented Intel and 3Com in IEEE working groups developing wireless (802.11) and wired (802.3) standards. While an Architect at TCSI, he designed and built management systems for British Telecom, BellCanada, AT&T and PTT Netherlands. He holds several patents from his work designing algorithms for splitter-less ADSL modems. Staszak is a selection committee member for CommNexus, a non-profit high-tech trade organization that stimulates the growth of new high technology companies. Staszak is a graduate and board member of UC San Diego Executive Perspective for Scientists and Engineers. Staszak has a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from UC Davis. He is a two-time Ultimate Frisbee National Champion.
