L. Gordon Moore, MD

Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Moore is a Family Medicine Practitioner and national leader in improving healthcare delivery in primary care and medical office practices. He serves as advisor, expert, and faculty to numerous initiatives for better health outcomes while bending the cost curve. His work focuses on the intersection of health IT, operations, measurement, patient experience, staff satisfaction, outcomes and cost. He has been a faculty member of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in office practice redesign and a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Rochester Departments of Family Medicine and Community and Preventive Medicine.
Dr. Moore received his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry in 1990. A participant in guideline and protocol initiatives and process redesign workshops, Dr. Moore works with all practice models: solo and independent, large hospital-based specialty clinics, community health centers, as well as private and academic practice. He is guided by the principle that a high performing health system is based on effective primary care: care that eliminates barriers; organizes around both the individual patient and the population served; and is supported by comprehensive policy and payment reform. Dr. Moore has extensive experience in the business side of Health IT as an industry medical consultant to several online healthcare companies.
